Bio &  Grand Plan
My biography (formal version) and long-term goals (see below)

Hello, and thanks for visiting my website.  My name is Travis (typically I use my initials of W.T.K. in articles I submit for
publication).  In addition to publishing this website (where I express views that are entirely my own and independent of my
current employers) and doing research on my own,  I am a Senior Investment Analyst at one of the largest RIA's in the country.
My primary responsibilities include investment manager evaluation, asset allocation, and researching investment ideas.

Prior to working at my current employer, I led the research department of a mid-sized Indianapolis-based SEC registered
investment adviser, where I contributed to the firms outstanding growth of assets from 2002-2005.  Prior to that, I had a
distinguished career with Charles Schwab where I was one of the first Schwab employees certified to deliver portfolio level
advice to high net worth clients.  In this role, I worked with Chicago Analytics to construct portfolios.  At Schwab, I obtained my
Series 7 and 63 licenses.

My career experience and my personal investment experience has enabled me to acquire a substantial knowledge base
covering a wide variety of investment products including equities, fixed income, options, mutual funds, separate account
vehicles, and limited partnership based products.  I continue to be an active participant in the investment industry attending
conferences, reading newsletters, and discussing ideas with some of the brightest minds in the investment business.

I am a Summa cum Laude graduate of Ball State University where I was the top student in my class.  I am a Chartered
Financial Analyst (CFA) and a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Indianapolis.  Additionally, I am a Chartered
Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) and a member of the CAIA Organization.  Finally, I am also a member of the Executive
Economic Exchange of Indiana.
Long-Term Goals

  • Publish industry recognized investment research.

  • Build a "sizeable" readership on my website and through published articles.

  • Create mutual funds and investment products designed around my active and long-term
    equity strategies (long-term goal).
